All in the Family

Call it coincidence, serendipity, or fate—it seems clear that Ross Carponelli and Dominic J. Buttitta, Jr. were destined to be law partners at some point in time—for a very long time. The Barrington Hills attorneys and their families have been intertwined for years, ever since their fathers first became friends nearly a quarter century ago.

Ross’s dad, Stephen Carponelli, and Dominic, Jr.’s dad, Dominic J. Buttitta, Sr. met at a Barrington High School homecoming game in 1991. Both of their daughters were BHS cheerleaders at the time and both of their sons played baseball. They initially struck up an acquaintance based upon convenience and similar life circumstances, but it developed into much more than that. The men took a liking to one another based on similar work ethics, family values, and a mutual respect for the other’s business-mindedness.
